In the heart of winter, amidst the chilly winds and frosty peaks of Roan Mountain, North Carolina, I had the pleasure of capturing the Leah and Adam’s enchanting engagement session. Battling the elements with hand warmers, coats, and radiant smiles, this adventurous couple brought warmth to the winter landscape and a touch of timeless Scottish elegance. (as someone who had a wedding in Scotland, I was over the moon with their final outfits for sunset!)

Our journey began in the mystical Balsam Forest, where the interplay of sunlight filtering through the trees created a captivating atmosphere. Appalachian Trail Extravaganza
Continuing our exploration along the iconic Appalachian Trail, we approached the opening of the Roan Highlands. As we emerged, the vast expanse of the mountains unfolded before us, showcasing a panorama of breathtaking beauty. The wind howled, but Leah and Adam stood resilient, their love evident in every embrace against the backdrop of the rugged peaks. I was QUITE impressed, because it was FREEZING. And yet these two made the most of it!
Scottish Highlands
With the sun gracefully setting, the North Carolina mountains underwent a magical transformation, reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. Leah and Adam, prepared for the occasion, changed into a more formal ensemble—a white dress, plaid wrap, and dress pants. Suddenly, the winter landscape echoed the timeless romance of Scottish love stories, and my heart couldn’t have been happier. Anytime we can bring a bit of Scotland over here, I am one happy girl!
