Washington Elopement in Snoqualmie Pass
I get so excited when I get to help couples plan out their Washington Elopement because there is SO much that lies within the ethereal terrain of the Pacific Northwest! For weddings, the backdrop possibilities are endless which is why Washington is one of the best places to elope in the United States!
Recently, I had the privilege of capturing the magical elopement of Ariana and William in the breathtaking Snoqualmie Pass of Washington.
Their love story began in the heart of Seattle, where chance brought them together at a local art gallery. Ariana, an aspiring painter, was drawn to William’s appreciation for art and culture. Their shared passion ignited a connection that transcended the ordinary, and soon, they found themselves inseparable. From hiking the Cascades to exploring the hidden gems of Washington, their love flourished amidst the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. So as you could guess, Washington was their obvious first choice when deciding where to elope!
Ariana & William made the decision to elope in nature, surrounded by the towering pines and misty mountains of Snoqualmie Pass. For them, the choice was clear—the raw, untamed beauty of the outdoors mirrored the wild, untamed love they shared. One of their values was intimacy – because of this, these two technically got married at the courthouse first, but wanted to save their true wedding (their vows, rings, and ceremony) to have in their wedding clothes out within Washington’s wilderness.
Snoqualmie Pass, nestled in the Cascade Range, offered the perfect backdrop for Ariana and William’s elopement. The towering evergreens, snow-capped peaks, and the gentle murmur of mountain streams created an ethereal atmosphere that perfectly complemented the couple’s love story!
On the day of Washington brought what it’s famous for: mood, fog, and the beautiful blues of the mountains. The mist clung to the trees, creating an ethereal backdrop for their vows. I was over the MOON because of how stunning it was. Sunshine is beautiful, but I will take rain, fog, and clouds over it any day! It really adds such a cinematic quality that I am always seeking out!
Embracing the Moment:
But the story doesn’t end there. After sealing their commitment with a kiss, the adventurous couple decided to make their elopement truly unforgettable. Braving the cold waters of a nearby lake, they plunged in hand in hand, immersing themselves in the icy embrace of nature.
Finding Your Elopement Destination in Washington:
Choosing a location for an elopement in Washington is no easy feat, given the state’s diverse and picturesque landscapes. However, Snoqualmie Pass stood out for its accessibility, stunning vistas, and the sense of seclusion it provided. It allowed the couple to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
For couples considering an elopement in Washington, the options are limitless. From the rugged coastline of Olympic National Park to the enchanting forests of Mount Rainier, there’s a setting to suit every couple’s unique love story.
